They Do It Right In Chicago!
Silent, B&W home movies of the 1933-34 Century of Progress world's fair in Chicago. Based of this film, it was a bigger and better fair than the 1939 NY World's Fair. It's of special interest to me because my late parents were Chicago teens during this fair and told many stories as I was growing up about how great it was. I can almost see my teenage parents walking
along those promenades!

Enjoyable
This was a general view of the Chicago 1933
Exposition. I felt like it was going back in time. Enjoyable for those who like to view other eras in America.

Up Against the Hall of Science!
Silent footage of the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. This would have been better if it had had sound, but it does give you an idea of what it was like to attend a worldÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs fair back in their heyday. My favorite is the Sinclair display with the creaky mechanical dinosaurs.
Ratings: Camp/Humor Value: **. Weirdness: **. Historical Interest: ****. Overall Rating: ***.

Subject:
A good overview
The 1933-34 World's fair in Chicao is triumphed here in this sometimes confusing silent short. There are some great shots of some exhibits, and some magnificent shots of buildings, but 3/4 of the time, unless you're some kind of an expert on the subject, you don't exactly know what the building is. People in interesting costumes appear, but you don't know what they are. Heck, the ultimate tease is that they appear to be shooting a movie on a built set in the fair with "Jack Sullivan", "Grant Withers" and "Irene Rich", but it doesn't appear to be any record of it showing up on any movie databases anywhere...
